All Fleurco glass shower doors are designed using tempered glass. Tempered glass undergoes a treatment which strengthens it, compared to regular untreated glass. When tempered glass is broken, it breaks into smaller fragments as opposed to regular glass, which breaks into larger, sharper shards. For added protection, we’ve introduced FleurcoSEKUR+ Safety Protection film. Although this film does not fully prevent breakage, it will keep the broken tempered glass pieces in place. Our glass shower doors can range in thickness from 4mm to 12mm, and are offered in Clear, Smoked Grey, Raindrop, Mist and Ultra-Clear* glass types. The available thickness and glass types will vary by collection and model.

Clear glass is the most commonly used glass type on the market and is available on almost all Fleurco shower doors. Because it complements any bathroom décor, it provides the cleanest look and is a classic option. Clear glass can brighten the bathroom space by offering a seamless, open-space feel, while still having a fully enclosed shower.
Smoked Grey glass is a new addition to Fleurco and is currently only available on our Vespero shower panels. What’s exceptional about our smoked grey glass is that you don’t need to give up your safety for style, because Vespero’s tinted glass is still equipped with our FleurcoSEKUR+ Safety Protection film. Like clear glass, smoked grey glass is still transparent but offers a bolder statement.
Raindrop glass has a texture on one side of the glass that resembles drops of water. This glass offers more privacy than standard clear glass. Our Raindrop glass is not tinted, leaving it suitable for any bathroom décor where a little more privacy is desired.

This translucent glass type offers the highest privacy compared to our other glass types. The good news is that privacy doesn’t need to come at the expense of safety. Our doors offered in Mist glass are still available with FleurcoSEKUR+ Safety Protection. Not only are you getting more privacy, but you’re also getting added protection.
